Me Knerr is a partner at the office. His practice is wide-ranging and, as such, he has represented clients charged with economic crimes, drinking and driving offences and other crimes against the person. He has a keen interest in cases involving searches and seizures executed by public authorities.
Me Knerr graduated with a Bachelor of civil law from the University of Montréal in 2012 and a Certificate in French and European Law with Honours from Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) University the same year. He has since become a very active conference lecturer, having notably presented at the University of Montréal, McGill University, the Montreal Criminal Defence Lawyer’s Association, the Québec Defence Lawyers Association, the Québec Bar, the Canadian Bar Association, the Association des Avocats de Province, and Bourget College. He has also commented legislation on behalf of the Canadian Counsel of Defence Lawyers and testified before Senate Standing Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs on behalf of the Montreal Criminal Defence Lawyer’s Association.
Me Knerr is an active member of several professional associations. He is a member of the board of directors of the Montreal Criminal Defence Lawyer’s Association and the Young Advocates Group of the Advocates’ Society – Québec Division. He partakes in various advisory committees notably set up by the Québec Ministry of Justice, the Court of Québec, the Montreal Bar and the Municipal Court of Montréal.
He has been a member of the Québec Bar since 2013.
